How the UltraBench system works

  1. Pick a top. Choose the UltraBench UB2448 (24" x 48") or the deeper UltraBench UB3648 (36" x 48").
  2. Add legs. Pair it with the matching UltraLeg steel leg kit (UL2448 or UL3648) with locking casters, or use a base of your own.
  3. Expand anytime. Bolt more UltraBenches on with 3/4" shoulder bolts. The dog-hole grid stays continuous across every seam.

Frequently asked questions

Do the UltraBench tops come with legs?

No. The UB2448 and UB3648 are the bench tops only. The matching UltraLeg steel leg kits are sold separately.

Can I connect more than one bench?

Yes. That is what the system is designed for. Benches bolt together in any layout with 3/4" shoulder bolts, and the 3/4" dog-hole grid stays continuous from one bench to the next.

Will my existing dogs, clamps, and hold-downs fit?

The UltraBench uses 3/4" dog holes and is compatible with 3/4" dog-table and peg-table tooling.

What is the UltraBench made of?

CNC-cut furniture-grade plywood with hardwood cores, in a torsion-box design: 3/4" body panels under a 1-1/2" top surface. Parts are cut to ±.010".

Does it require assembly?

Yes. UltraBench tops are customer assembled. The UB2448 has 9 part types and 40 Torx screws; the UB3648 has 11 part types and 48 screws. Screws are included. You will need about 8 oz of wood glue (not included), a T25 Torx driver, a #2 Phillips screwdriver, a clean rubber mallet, and 120-grit sandpaper or ScotchBrite. What height are the UltraLeg kits?

The working height (floor to work surface) is set during assembly, from 32" to 43" in 1" steps.

What are the UltraLegs made of?

Laser-cut and formed A36 HRPO steel, with 1/8" legs and 14 ga bracing, yellow zinc plated. Each kit includes heavy-duty swivel locking casters (1,400 lb caster capacity) and all required hardware.

Where is it made?

UltraBench and UltraLeg kits are made in the USA.
